Television was also considered the most reliable news source - 82% named it as the outlet they trust most.

National newspapers were next with 75%, followed by local papers with 69%. Public broadcast radio, at 67%, out-performed commercial radio, at 55%.

The score for news websites was low, but their "distrust" rating was similar to TV's.
