Steve Cullen, 46, from Glasgow, said he admired the strength on New Yorkers in adverstity.

He said: "They suffered a blow and dealt with it with great dignity.

"I am privileged to have been so close to the children of those affected. They opened their hearts to the people of Glasgow."
