The tsunami aid appeal has been the most successful international relief effort ever.

In the year since the disaster, more than $6bn in humanitarian aid has been raised in firm pledges � $4bn from private donations.

But $620m in pledged aid has yet to be delivered. And experts warn of a $2.2bn shortfall for long-term rebuilding of devastated areas.
