Jennifer, 30, is now a social worker, and still in contact with other Vietnamese adoptees.

Her adoptive mother Lana, says that from the moment she heard about the operation, she knew she would adopt.

"The simple fact is those children's lives were in danger - and we gave them a chance for survival and a better life."
