Kasey and Herman Goscheh spent the storm in a doorway, after their Gulfport homeless shelter was evacuated several days before.

Kasey's health problems meant she found refugee shelters unbearable. "It's so hot she can't breathe," Herman said.

He cannot find work, he said. "There won't be anything until the insurance money starts coming in."
