Refusals and removals
The vast majority refused entry to the UK in 2003 came from either European countries or the Americas. Africans make up the next largest group of those refused entry. Immigration officials are allowed to select nationalities for targeting at airports. The Home Office�s race monitor recently questioned whether this strategy was fair.
