Australians are due to go to the polls on 9 October, to elect their new prime minister.

According to opinion polls, current leader John Howard is neck and neck with opposition Labor leader Mark Latham.

BBC News Online went to the farming town of Bundaberg, in the marginal Queensland constituency of Hinkler, to ask voters their views.
