I reached Chad three days ago riding on the back of this donkey.

I left my home in Darfur following a joint attack by the Sudanese military forces and the Janjaweed Arab militia.

I was frightened that our daughters would be raped.

I know of three girls who were shot in the legs by the militia when they resisted rape.
