Sound Of The Underground was the first release from the winners of Pop Stars: The Rivals, Girls Aloud. It became the Christmas number one in 2002.

"When I heard the song I couldn�t quite work out what I was listening to," says singer Nadine Coyle, "but I was really glad it was something different."
