Tories condemn 'broadband tax'

The Conservatives have criticised the government's announcement of a levy on fixed telephone lines to pay for improving broadband internet services.

The measure was outlined by Culture Secretary Ben Bradshaw in the House of Commons.

Giving his response, Shadow Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt denounced it as a ''broadband tax.''
