Wednesday 17 September

Nick Clegg addresses conference

It's Nick Clegg's big moment as he addresses his first conference as leader.

Meanwhile, we build up to the big moment with a handy guide to Lib Dem conference from The Guardian's political sketch writer Simon Hoggart. Long-time Lib Dem supporter and Just a Minute host Nicholas Parsons reviews the party's year, and Anne tries to find out just how popular the new tax plans are. And as the conference drew to a close, Andrew collared Lembit Opik.

Kennedy backs Clegg tax policies

Our second day in Bournemouth - but for delegates this was actually day four - and we spoke to not one but two former leaders, Charles Kennedy and Sir Menzies Campbell joined in the Daily Politics conference fun.

Meanwhile, Giles is wandering around the hall looking confused; he's trying to work out just what Liberal Democrat foreign policy all about...

Nick Clegg talks to Andrew

Having decamped to the Lib Dem conference after our summer break, Andrew speaks to leader Nick Clegg and quizzes him on the party's change of tack on tax.

We also speak to Chris Huhne, hear from the party's former PR boss on why they should target the Tories, not Labour. And Giles spends all his pocket money in the conference shop exploring just how the party is trying to rebranded itself.
