"Outstanding Public Service in Broadcasting"
Panorama won the "2001 Award for Outstanding Public Service in Broadcasting" from the Voice of the Listener and Viewer.

RTS award for Jeffrey Archer: A Life of Lies
Panorama has won a Royal Television Society Award. The programme exposed evidence casting doubt on Archer's testimony in his 1987 libel case against the Daily Star.

Award for The Accused
Fergal Keane and Aidan Laverty jointly won the TV Story of the Year Award at the Foreign Press Association Media Awards.

Medical Journalism award for Condition Red
Panorama won the Broadcasting section of the Medical Journalism Awards 2001, for Condition Red, broadcast in March.
