CYBERTERRORISM

website
An English language translation of a message on a password protected website, used by Islamic extremists, claims a new branch of Al Qaeda is being organised inside Britain, Newsnight's Richard Watson has discovered.

Shadow Security Minister Lady Neville-Jones, told Newsnight that whether or not, the posting represented a genuine Al Qaeda threat, the security services would be taking it very seriously.

She said, "They will go and compare it with other messages that they may have discovered of the same kind. They will look to see whether there are any responses."

"I think it could perfectly well be something that's quite important, it could in fact be, as [Richard Watson] suggested, rather aspirational - an attempt to get things going."
