In the first of the new series Paul Kenyon demonstrates just how easy it is to steal IDs by posing as a cabinet minister without a sniff of curiosity from MI5, MI6 or the police.

He also clones the identity of Frederick Forsyth, the author who exposed loopholes in the system 30 years ago in his thriller 'Day Of The Jackal'.

From birth certificates to driving licences to credit cards, Kenyon gets them all through the normal channels. But never as himself.

Kenyon also confronts the criminals who steal identities to make a fortune.

One serial fraudster is tracked down to Blackpool where Kenyon discovers he has stolen at least 100 identities to apply for credit potentially worth over �2m.

Kudirat 'Moji' Olowosale is a victim of identity theft. Every area of her life has been invaded by an imposter. Even her medical records had been transferred and then mixed up with the fraudster's.

Through surveillance and following the paper trail, Kenyon tracks down the imposter.
