How much easier is it for teenage music stars these days? |
In a HardTalk Extra interview screened on 25 November, Gavin Esler spoke to singer and songwriter Paul Anka about a career in swing lasting over forty years.
Singer songwriter Paul Anka is the man behind some of the greatest popular songs of all time.
He wrote Frank Sinatra's My Way, Tom Jones' Shes a Lady and Buddy Holly's It Doesnt Matter Anymore.
In a career that's spanned over 50 years he has over 900 writing credits to his name but became a teen idol in his own right with his performances in the late 50's.
He fronted the big shows of Las Vegas in the 1970's - a show business era that was overshadowed by connections with the Mafia.
