BBC News website readers have been sending their photographs of this summer's music festivals. Steve Bowley was at Guilfest in Guildford, Surrey.

The hot weather at Guilfest was too much for these festival-goers. Embrace, A-ha, and Billy Idol played at the event.

Mel O'Brien, from Nottingham, sent this photo from the St Gallen OpenAir festival in Switzerland, which saw Franz Ferdinand and the Deftones play.

Mel O'Brien: "It was perfect weather the whole weekend, set in the mountains with a fantastic view from the top of the festival area."

Steve Kemp sent this photograph from the Rhythms of the World festival in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, in July.
