Appearing at VL: Foo Fighters |
Rock band Foo Fighters and singer-songwriter David Gray have joined the bill for August's VFestival. They will join headliners Coldplay and Red Hot Chili Peppers at the event, held at Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex.
Also joining the line-up are rock band Queens Of The Stone Age, club act Underworld and ambient band Lemon Jelly.
The Coral and Ash are also on the bill for the festival, on 16 and 17 August.
Acts will switch between the two venues each day.
Foo Fighters - founded by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl - have received huge acclaim for their fourth album One By One, while David Gray's album A New Day At Midnight was released to praise last year.
Festival director Simon Moran said: "To get Coldplay and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to headline is no mean feat, but to support that with artists of the calibre of Foo Fighters and David Gray shows festival-goers that we are continuing to provide them with the quality of performers they have come to expect at a V festival."
Tickets go on sale from Saturday morning.
