City guide promotes disabled access
Oxford
The city guide is available on the council's website
A new guide to help disabled people get around Oxford more easily is being launched.

The Oxford Accessible Guide tells readers which shops, banks, museums, churches, leisure facilities and toilets have disabled facilities, and where it is best to park.

The guide, available on their website, is part of the city council's pledge to improve access and mobility under the Disability Discrimination Act.

Oxford City Council's access officer, Lynne Hooper, said: "The city council is working to make Oxford a more accessible place for both residents and visitors with disabilities.

"Thanks to strong links formed between disabled people and the business community, the council is making excellent progress on making the city an accessible place."
