Most browsers can be used to access the BBC World Service site. For optimal viewing we recommend either Netscape Navigator 4.5 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and that your browser is Javascript enabled.
Screen
BBC World Service web pages are designed to be viewed on a screen size of 600 x 480 pixels or greater.
Audio and additional plug-ins
Installing a RealPlayer (see getting the audio player)is advisable. The BBC World Service audio is mainly encoded for Real Audio version 4 which should be accessible using either a Windows Media Player or RealPlayer Version 4 and above.
A flash plug-in will enhance some sections of the site. This can be downloaded for free from the software designers Macromedia.com.
