USA are basketball World Champions

The United States have become the men's world basketball champions for the first time in 16 years.

The Americans beat the host nation Turkey 81 points to 64 in the final in Istanbul. Kevin Durant scored 28 points and won the Most Valuable Player of the Championship. Lamar Odom added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
