Andrew Andronikou, the man charged with the dealing with the financial issues for English Premier League club Portsmouth FC since it went into administration a few weeks ago, has revealed that he has heard from 12 parties interested in buying the debt-ridden club.

The club have debts estimated at $117 million and the players - including South Africa's World Cup captain Aaron Mokoena - face uncertain futures.

But in an exclusive interview for the BBC World Service programme Sportsworld, Mokoena admitted the news that the club has gone into administration has taken quite a weight off the players' shoulders.

Mokoena said that despite the threat of relegation, he and the other players are entirely committed to the club but the doesn't think that the players need to take a pay cut.
