Angola goalkeeper Carlos only visited the country once before the finals
Goalkeeper Carlos Fernandes - he of the straggly long hair and tattoos down both arms - is making only his second trip to Angola. Just before he turned 30, he decided it was time to change his allegiance.
"I'm Portuguese, but my grandmother is Angolan, and my mother too.
"I decided [last] year, after the invitation of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) and the coach [Manuel Jose], to come here to play for Angola.
He tells BBC World Service Sport's Richard Connelly about his Angolan experience.
