The Duke praised the BBC's impartiality when reporting news
HRH Duke of York, toured BBC World Service at Bush House, London on 2 April 2007 and spent time visiting the Newsroom, Business Programmes and the new innovative broadcast facilities called the Production House of the Future.

In a busy schedule he also found time to chat to staff in the BBC restaurant.

Prince Andrew recorded an interview with BBC Global News Director, Richard Sambrook, in which he praised the BBC's impartiality when reporting news around the world. He spoke of the BBC's reputation for being observers of news.

"Through observation, [BBC journalists are] informing people around the world about issues of current affairs and about issues that affect our everyday life and that is where the BBC has probably been such a beacon over the last 75 years and I hope will continue to be so in the future," he said.

The Duke also spoke about his role as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, saying that British business needs to adapt to new business conditions.
