Dubai Hamas killing: 'fraudulent' passports fuel Mossad suspicion

At least seven foreign-born Israelis named as suspects in the killing of a senior figure in the Palestinian Hamas movement, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, in Dubai last month have said their identities were stolen.

Britain, France, Germany and the Irish Republic have said the passports were fake.

The fact that at least some of the names are of people living in Israel has increased the suspicion that the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad was responsible.

The Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said there was no reason to blame Israel and Mossad, but the British and Irish governments have called in Israel's ambassadors to explain the situation.

Newshour's Robin Lustig asked former Mossad agent, Gad Shimron, if it does look to him like the work of his former employers.
