Fishing villages like Flateyri rely heavily on migrant workers

Many people have experienced the pain of the financial crisis and in some parts of the world it is having unforseen consequences.

For years Iceland's isolated fishing communities were shrinking as young people moved to the capital, Reykjavik.

Then a few years ago a sudden surge of migrant labour, mostly from Poland, attracted by the prospects of a good life began to reverse this trend.

Recently the Icelandic Krona has plummetted in value and inflation is at 14%.

Will this encourage Polish migrants to go back home?
