the person who runs a pub

a pint
a measure of liquid (0.57 litre). Also used as a short way to say a pint of beer.

"Fancy a pint?"
"Would you like to come with me to the pub and have a drink?"

a half
a short way of saying a half a pint of beer

Example
"What would you like to drink?" "I'll have a half of lager please."

alcohol

someone who frequently goes to the same pub
