A Greek Orthodox Church

Greek Easter

Most of us in Britain celebrated Easter last weekend - the 15th and 16th of April. We had bank holidays, when most people didn't go to work. Many gave each other chocolate Easter eggs and special church services took place.

But not everyone celebrated Easter then. As part of our special focus on Greece this month, Jackie Dalton finds out how the Greeks celebrate Easter. As we do this, we'll learn some expressions relating to religion and you'll have the chance to practise listening comprehension.
