Ten people have been killed in an explosion in a market in Moscow, according to the Russian ministry for emergency situations. The explosion happened in the east of the Russian capital. This report from James Rodgers: The Russian Ministry for Emergencies says that the explosion brought down a two-storey building at the Cherkizovsky market in eastern Moscow. The situation at the scene remains confused. The authorities are still trying to work out what happened and how many people have been killed or injured. Children are thought to be among the dead. Medical teams have arrived to treat the wounded. It's not yet clear what caused the blast. Police and emergency services say that either a gas canister or a bomb was to blame. One version of events suggests it was a home-made explosive device. Investigators are at the scene. So far at least, the Russian interior ministry says that they are not considering the possibility that this was a terrorist attack.
