 Thai Airways airliner
Thai Airways in trouble
Summary: All members of the board of Thai Airways have resigned after bomb threats to its planes. This report from Lesley Curwen:

The NewsListen
Thai Airways' troubles are mounting. It's ridden with debt and plagued by internal labour disputes. And now the entire 15 man board of the company has resigned. In the last week or so, two threats were made against Thai Airways planes - one last Wednesday against a flight bound from Bangkok to Rome and Madrid, and another on Sunday, targeting the same flight. Both cases turned out to be hoaxes. The Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, has taken a close interest in events at the airline. He has started government investigations into the bomb threats. Earlier he had intervened in the labour disputes, and had openly criticised the standards of service on flights. He's now promised to completely re-structure Thai Airways operations, in order to boost the share price ahead of a planned sale of part of its shares to the public.
