Slipknot fans mad about knitting grannies

| | | Slipknot fans are spitting mad about a group of grannies who they reckon are using the band's name in vain. Fans of the mask-wearing rockers are mad because the ladies of the Knitting and Crochet Guild have called their magazine 'Slipknot'. Some of the fans seem to be getting a little too excited about their campaign, and have started emailing the 1,000-strong group of knitters.
The angry fans say they shouldn't be using the word 'Slipknot' on the internet, but the knitters aren't running scared, saying they're not going to let it bother them. A spokeswoman for the 'nu-metal' band said there had been a problem with the band's official website, and thought perhaps that led to the fans emailing the knitting circle by mistake.
Just in case you were wondering, to a knitter the slipknot is the name of the first loop used to start a new pattern, not a nine-strong group of scary mask-wearers.
