 Faye 'betrayed' by Steps pals

Faye from Steps feels 'betrayed' after two members of the band quit at short notice, it has been reported. The pop band, who split up at Christmas, were just about to go on stage when Claire and H announced they were leaving, The News of the World said. Faye apparently said she felt 'numb and betrayed' by her friends' decision.

According to the paper, Claire handed out official letters of resignation to her bandmates minutes before they were about to perform at the Manchester Evening News Arena.

The rest of the band were said to be shocked, but minutes later, H also handed out letters, saying he was leaving too.

Music boss Pete Waterman, who put Steps together and stars in Pop Idol, is also said to be angry that the group has split up.
