Lee James

  • I began my broadcasting career on a student radio station operating from a small broom cupboard while studying at university in Southampton, England.
  • You can never be sure what you'll end up doing, I've been a stadium announcer for the British Basketball team, the Leicester Riders and even turned on the Christmas lights in my home town.
  • I joined the BBC in 2001 and have covered International Cricket in the Caribbean, India, Pakistan and was part of the BBC's commentary team at the inaugural World Twenty20 tournament in South Africa.
  • I'm a regular presenter on Sportsworld and was part of the Sony award-winning team at the Beijing Olympics.

I love the fact you never know what's going to happen next or when you'll be treated to another amazing sporting moment. I feel really privileged to be doing my job but would swap it all to take part in an event like the Olympics. I'll try any sport except Synchronised Swimming.
