As JB Koranteng Krentisl explains, traditional music from Ghana continues to take on new influences- including from the Caribbean.


Cuban music has particularly close links to west Africa - part of the cultural legacy of slavery. This is an example of a song which bring together rhythms from both sides of the Atlantic.
