Anna talks to Filipino novelist Miguel Syjuco about his debut novel Ilustrado.
The novel recently won the Man Asian Literary Prize.
He discusses his love for his home country, despite the poverty and corruption which is rife there and why, unlike his own father, he won't be going into politics - for now anyway.
