Architect David Adjaye is known for his award winning design for the Whitechapel Ideas Store.

But his latest project has seen him step outside the office in search of urban Africa.

The Design Museum in London is exhibiting around 2,500 of his photographs of Africa's key cities.

So what inspired him to spend ten years collecting these photos? He told Mark Coles where the idea came from.
