Describing herself as a folk singer, Lagos-based Oyinkansola takes her cue from American singer-songwriters.

When the BBC's Africa Kicks bus arrived in Lagos we asked her to perform a Network Africa video session for us.

This track is a plea to her father to take her music seriously because it is the only thing that really makes her happy.
