US warning to the Nigerian government

The US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, says the Nigerian goverment's failings have helped to foster extremism in the country.

In a speech to State Department staff, Mrs Clinton said that poor living standards and corruption were making young people targets for militants looking for recruits to attack the West.
