After close to 20 years of acrimony and intense disagreement, political parties in Kenya seem to be coming to an agreement on the country's new constitution.

Representatives of the parties who make up a parliamentary committee of 27 say they have agreed on a presidential system of government that will do away with the current post of prime minister.

Focus on Africa's Sophie Ikenye asked the BBC's Ruth Nesoba how significant this move was.
