Amnesty International has released a report warning that weapons entering Somalia for the use by the government's security forces are helping to fuel human rights abuses.

Some guns disappear altogether, only to turn up again in the hands of insurgents.

The study also says inadequate training has led the Somali armed forces themselves to use the weapons on civilians.

It accuses countries such as Uganda, Kenya and America, of ignoring their human rights obligations.

Akwasi Sarpong asked the report's author, Mike Lewis whether he was saying anything new, considering that Somalia has been gripped by conflict since 1991?
