The last 24 hours have seen the arrests of over 300 people in Kenya including 12 Somali members of parliament.

Overnight swoops took place across the country.

It follows a demonstration in the capital by Muslims last Friday which left one person dead and several others injured.

Some of those arrested have been arraigned in court and charged as Focus on Africa's Noel Mwakugu reports.
