The Sudan People's Liberation Movement party (SPLM), which draws most of its support from the south, has named its candidates for the country's national and regional elections.

The SPLM's leader, Salva Kiir, will not contest the national presidential elections and will instead run for president of the semi-autonomous south.

The SPLM's candidate for the presidency has been named as Yasir Arman.
