Uganda's president, Yoweri Museveni, has called for more discussion on the country's controversial homosexuality bill.
President Museveni said a number of western leaders had contacted him to express their opposition to the proposed legislation.
The bill prescribes the death penalty for homosexual rape and heavy jail sentences for persons convicted of other homosexual acts.
