Angola's government announce plans to vote on a new constitution this week.

The new constitution will abolish direct elections for the presidency.

The head of state will instead to be chosen by parliament.

Focus on Africa's Sophie Ikenye spoke to our reporter in Luanda, Louise Redvers, about the significance of today's announcement.
