Our focus on Network Africa this morning is on a growing health threat, which many African governments, it appears, are not taking adequate steps to address - cancer.

Dr Timothy Kingondu in Kenya watched his father die from lung cancer.

What made that painfully poignant for Timothy is that he himself is a specialist in heart and lung illnesses.

Dr Kingondu told his story to Josphat Makori in Nairobi.
