Protests over wages by workers at Konkola Copper Mines, have halted most units at the facility in Chingola, 380KM north of Lusaka.

The dispute turned ugly as workers took matters into their own hands, rioting and damaging property in the area.

Miners believe their wages should reflect the rallying copper prices on International markets.

Network Africa's Tony Andoh-Korsah spoke to the BBC's Copperbelt reporter, Boyd Chibale.
