Botswana's president, Seretse Khama Ian Khama has said that there should be fresh elections in Zimbabwe.
Botswana has always been outspoken about the on-going political situation in Zimbabwe but it had backed the deal that brought President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF and the former opposition MDC into a unity government.
That deal has hit problems; just last week the regional group, SADC had to persuade the MDC to rejoin the cabinet.
However President Khama says that Zanu-PF have failed to honour the spirit of the power-sharing agreement.
Focus on Africa's Bilkisu Labaran spoke to Botswana's government spokesman, Jeff Ramsay.
