A week of confusion in South Africa's power utility Eskom has been capped with the resignation of chief executive Jacob Maroga

Mr Maroga is being held partly responsible for the country's crippling power outages.

Last year South Africa lost billions of dollars and crucial business as a result of the rolling black outs.

Eskom also supplies electricity to several neighbouring countries.

Focus on Africa's Mpho Lakaje has been following the developments there and spoke to Sophie Ikenye.
