Human rights groups in Kenya are calling for a speedy investigation into the killing of the spokesman of the outlawed Mungiki sect.
The country's national commission on human rights says the spokesman, Gitau Njuguna had reported to the commission that he had received death threats from a police squad; claims that the police have dismissed.
Njuguna was gunned down last night by two unknown men in Nairobi city centre.
He is the latest among a number of key individuals associated with the sect whose murders remain unresolved. Josphat Makori reports from Nairobi
