Amos Wako, Kenya's attorney general publicly admitted that he has been barred from travelling to the United States.
It follows much speculation, in the wake of an announcement, made by the US Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, last week, that an unnamed top government official was accused of obstructing Kenya's reform process and had been issued with a travel ban.
Mr Wako put up a robust defence during a meeting with the media in Nairobi.
