Congolese troops in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo have been engaged in fierce fighting against militia.
The BBC's Thomas Fessy has just been to the Lukweti area of North Kivu, where a local militia has been resisting the national army with the support of Rwandan-Hutu rebels.
BBC Network Africa's Akwasi Sarpong asked him what the situation was like in Kivu.
